1. Purpose
These terms set out the rights, duties and responsibilities of NCJK and the people who use the website and Ritubon (“you”), and the conditions of use.
2. The service
Ritubon is a task planner that runs in your browser and can be installed as an app from the browser. It is provided free of charge. NCJK may improve, change or add features. Some features are marked as pilots and may change more often.
If we need to stop Ritubon or a feature that holds your data, we will announce it in the app or on ncjk.net at least 30 days in advance where possible, and keep a way to export your data during that time.
3. Local workspace and accounts
- Without signing in, Ritubon keeps your data only in your browser on that device (the Local workspace). Nothing is sent to our servers.
- You can sign in with a Google account to sync between devices, share collections, connect Google Calendar (read-only) and receive reminders while Ritubon is closed. Local workspace data is not uploaded unless you choose to import it.
- You are responsible for keeping access to your Google account and devices secure. NCJK does not offer a separate account recovery service.
- A guest invited to a shared collection can join without a Google account. A guest session can be ended and deleted at any time.
4. Your content
Tasks, steps, notes, collections and other content you create remain yours. You give NCJK only the permission needed to store, sync, back up, process and show that content to you and to the members of collections you share, in order to run Ritubon. This permission ends when the content or your account is deleted, subject to the retention set out in the Privacy Policy.
We do not read your content except where needed to keep the service running or secure, to answer a request you send us, or where the law requires it.
6. Acceptable use
You must not:
- access another person’s account, data or collection without permission, or try to get around access controls;
- interfere with the service, overload it, or probe it for weaknesses without our written permission;
- use invitations or shared collections to send spam or unlawful content;
- use Ritubon in a way that breaks the law or infringes other people’s rights.
If you find a security problem, please report it privately to [email protected].
7. Services of other companies
Some features rely on other companies: Google for sign-in and Google Calendar, your browser’s push service for notifications, and the providers listed in the Privacy Policy for hosting and email. Their own terms also apply to your use of their services. Disconnecting Google Calendar or signing out stops Ritubon from using them.
8. Reminders and notifications
- A task with a due time is reminded at that time unless you choose “No reminder”. Notifications are shown only after you allow them in your browser.
- Delivery depends on your browser, operating system, device settings and network. A reminder can arrive late or not at all; a reminder more than 30 minutes late is not sent.
- Without signing in, reminders appear only while Ritubon is open on that device.
- Do not rely on Ritubon reminders for medical, safety-critical or other purposes where a missed reminder could cause harm.
9. Backups and data loss
Browser storage can be removed by clearing site data, private browsing, low storage or browser settings. NCJK cannot access or restore data kept only in your browser. Use Settings → Export JSON to keep a copy. Synced account data is stored on our servers as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Limitation of liability
Ritubon is provided free of charge and without a guarantee that it will always be available, error-free or suitable for a particular purpose. NCJK is not liable for damage caused by events beyond our reasonable control (such as outages of other companies’ services, natural disasters or network failures), by your own devices or settings, or by your breach of these terms.
Nothing in these terms limits NCJK’s liability for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
11. Ending use
- You can stop using Ritubon at any time and delete your account in Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete account. Local workspace data stays in your browser until you delete it there.
- NCJK may suspend or end access to an account that seriously breaches these terms or the law, or that puts other users or the service at risk. Except where urgent or required by law, we will tell you the reason beforehand and give you a chance to respond and to export your data.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when the service or the law changes. We announce changes on this page and in Ritubon at least 7 days before they take effect, or at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavourable to you. If you do not agree, you can stop using Ritubon and delete your account; continuing to use it after the effective date means you accept the change.
13. Governing law and language
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes are handled by the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea. These terms are written in Korean and English; if they differ, the Korean version prevails.
